Mindstamp help guide
How do I add questions to an interactive video?
Add a question to a Mindstamp video, choose the response type, save variables, and review answers by viewer.
Short answer
Place a Question interaction at the moment the viewer has enough context to answer, choose the response format and whether it is required or scored, then preview every answer state. Question responses can also set variables for personalization and branching.
How to do it
- Move to the point where the question should appear and add a Question interaction.
- Write one clear prompt and choose the response type that matches the information you need.
- Configure answer options, correct-answer behavior, scoring, required behavior, and any variable to set.
- Decide whether playback pauses while the question is open.
- Test every answer path and confirm the response appears in viewer-level reporting.

Ask only what changes the experience or decision
A question should check understanding, collect useful context, or choose the next path. Breaking one idea into several short questions is easier to answer and analyze than a crowded form.
Use responses downstream
Save an answer as a variable when later content should address the viewer by name, adapt to a choice, or control conditional logic.
