What does the Change Time feature do?

Use Change Time to jump to another point in the same video from a click action or automatic navigation.

Checked against the current Help Center and Mindstamp 4.0 walkthroughs.

Short answer

Change Time moves playback to another timecode in the same video. Attach it to a button, hotspot, image, text interaction, or answer when the viewer should choose the jump; use a Navigation when the jump should happen automatically at a set time.

How to do it

  1. Choose the destination timecode and make sure it starts at a clean visual and audio boundary.
  2. For a viewer choice, add an interaction and select Change Time as its click action.
  3. For an automatic skip, add a Navigation and select Change Time.
  4. Preview from before the trigger and test loops, return paths, captions, and progress reporting.

Use it for in-video branching and skips

Change Time can create a chapter menu, skip a section that does not apply, replay an explanation, or build a “try again” loop without switching to another video.

Prevent infinite loops

A jump back to an earlier point needs a clear exit condition. Conditional logic or a changed variable can make the retry available once without trapping a viewer who answered correctly.
