How do I pause the video on the last frame?
Stop a Mindstamp video on its final frame and keep your end buttons visible and clickable with the None: Pause on Last Frame option.
Short answer
Open End Screen and choose None: Pause on Last Frame under When the video ends. The video stops on its last frame with no overlay. Any interaction whose Hide time reaches the end of the video stays on screen and viewers can still click it.
How to do it
- Open the video and select End Screen in the video menu.
- Under When the video ends, choose None: Pause on Last Frame. The change saves automatically.
- Select Interactions and open each button that should stay on screen.
- Under Timing, hover the Hide field and click End to set it to the end of the video. Save.
- Watch the video to the end from the share link in a private browser window. Check that the last frame holds and that each button works.
How it works
When the video reaches its end, the player stops a fraction of a second before the last frame and holds there. No end screen covers the video, so your own interactions stay visible. Viewers can still use the seek bar to go back.
When to use it
- Your call-to-action buttons are already on screen at the end.
- The last frame is a designed slide, such as a menu or contact card.
- You want viewers to choose a next step with no automatic redirect.
If a button disappears at the end
- Its Hide time is before the end of the video. Set it to End.
- Its Post Click State is Hidden, so it went away after a click.
- Its Visibility is Desktop Only or Mobile Only and you are on the other device.
- It uses conditional logic that hides it for this viewer.
Require a click at the end
A button with At hide time (Require Click) that ends with the video still makes the viewer click it. Use this when the last step must be done, such as acknowledging a policy.
