Do you have a free trial?

Yes. Mindstamp offers a 7 day free trial of our platform.

Do I need an active subscription for my interactive videos to work?

Yes. In order for your interactive video to be viewable, your account must be active. 

What does Videos in Library mean?

Videos in Library refers to the amount of individual video files added to your Mindstamp account. This includes videos used in branching experiences, but does not include “video-in-video” clips.

For example, if you create a branching experience that has one primary video and includes three buttons that each branch out to other videos, you would be adding 4 videos to your Mindstamp library (Primary video + 3 branched videos).

Notably, Mindstamp offers a “video-in-video” function that allows you to play short video clips within a single video experience. For example, a student could click a button that says “Learn More” and a small video would appear inside the original video. This smaller “video-in-video” clip does not count as an upload to your Mindstamp library. 

What are Personalization and Variables?

Variables and Personalization are tools that allow you to personalize the viewing experience for each individual watching your content. If you know your viewers name, for instance, you can dynamically welcome them to your content with a comment that says “Welcome back {{name}}!” You can also use information that viewers provide to you via in-video questions. For example, “We look forward to seeing you on {{meeting_date}}.”

What are Transcripts?

Transcripts, available on select plans, are searchable text renditions of your Mindstamp video.

What are Groups?

Groups are a way to organize your content library for the other users on your account. For example, you can create a group of videos that your design team has access to, and a different group that the training team has access to.

Do my viewers have to have a Mindstamp account to watch my video? 

Nope! Mindstamp videos can be shared via URL, or embedded onto your website/landing page. No account is required on the viewers end.

What is the Basic Interaction Toolkit?

Mindstamps basic interaction toolkit comes with the interactive video essentials including: comments, interactive drawing, buttons, basic questions, hotspots, interactive text, branching navigation, in-video video and audio clips, and interactive images.

What is Conditional Logic?

Conditional Logic (IF/THEN Logic) is one of the most powerful features on the Mindstamp platform! It allows you to show specific content to specific users, based on their in-video activity or information you know about them. See examples below:

“IF the viewers score is less than 70%, THEN show the “Get Help” button.”

In this case, everyone watches the same video, but only users who scored low on the assessment will see the “Get Help” button.

“IF the viewer works in the Finance department, THEN show the invitation to the annual conference.”

In this case, all employees watch the same content, but only a specific department sees the invitation to the upcoming conference. Start creating custom-tailored content with Conditional Logic today!

What is the Advanced Interaction Toolkit?

Can I embed my Mindstamp videos?

Yes! Mindstamp offers convenient share options that allow you to one-click copy embed codes, then paste onto your landing pages, website, and more!

What are Series?

Series are a way for you to compile multiple videos into one viewable, sharable landing page with cross-video searching of chapters, transcripts, and interactions.For example, instead of sending 8 videos about a particular topic, you can send one series that includes all 8 videos. The viewer can then search within these videos for relevant content and immediately jump to those times with a single click!

Does Mindstamp work on mobile phones and tablets?

Yes. Mindstamp is viewable on mobile, tablet, desktop, and even trade show displays. Interactions automatically size up or down to fit the size of the screen.

What are Custom Fonts?

Mindstamp offers hundreds of Google Font options for your interactive video.However, if you are a Pro customer and need a font that we don’t offer, including your company proprietary font, we can upload your custom font to your Mindstamp account for future use.Font files must be provided by the requesting user. By sending Mindstamp a font file, you’re stating that you have ownership of the font, distribution rights to the font, or permission to use the font. Mindstamp is not responsible for claims related to improper use of user-provided fonts.

What are Certificates?

Certificates are a bespoke service that Mindstamp offers for your interactive videos. You provide us with a design for your certificate and we add dynamic variables that allow students to view and download certificates with their name and course info automatically filled in.

What are the support levels available?

Mindstamp provides world-class service to each and every one of our customers. However, the more features that are available to you, the more assistance you’re liable to need. As you advance through our plans, you’ll gain access to deeper support including Zoom calls, priority support requests, and more.

If I subscribe to a plan and a new feature comes out, will I have access to it?

Absolutely! We regularly update our application to ensure you’re ahead of the curve with interactive video. Keep an eye out for our monthly newsletters to learn more about new features and updates.

Can I share Mindstamp videos to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram?

Currently, major social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube, don’t support external interactivity. This applies to all interactive video platforms - not just Mindstamp.

Many of our users are successful in uploading clips of their interactive experiences to social media, then including the link for users to experience it themselves. This also allows you to access all the valuable data and analytics of your content - instead of handing it over to the social platforms!

Is the Mindstamp logo shown in my video?

No. Your interactive video is your own, there are no watermarks or logos present.

Can I add additional users to my account?

Yes, if you need more user accounts than a plan allows, you can additional users can be added to your account at $15 per user, per month.

If I upgrade my plan halfway through a billing cycle, will I get credit for what I already paid?

Of course! You’ll only pay the difference, then your new monthly total will reflect the price of the plan you changed to.

Can I export my data?

Absolutely! You can download individual viewer reports (PDF), or bulk export multiple reports (CSV). We also integrate with HubSpot and Zapier (depending on plan) to easily export data to your other business applications.

Can I distribute my Mindstamp content?

Yes, you can create Mindstamp content that’s intended for either your own, or your clients viewing audience.

Do you have a referral program?

Does Mindstamp offer a downloadable app?

No. Users don’t need to download an app to experience our content.  All the magic happens right in the browser - any time, any where, any device!

What API access do you offer?

Mindstamp offers a RESTful JSON api to access your interactive video data. Learn more about our API here. If you are an Enterprise customer, request an API key here.

Where is the data stored?

Mindstamp data is stored securely in the United States.

What kinds of video protection do you offer?

Mindstamp offers video password protection, domain whitelisting (depending on plan), and pre-access account verification.

What accessibility features do you offer?

Mindstamp offers a number of accessibility features including: question readout, closed captions, and support for most languages.

How can I add Closed Captions?

Mindstamp supports WebVTT captions. From a video page, press More and then EditCaptions.

Do you offer custom integrations?

Need an integration that we don’t currently offer? The Mindstamp Engineering Team may be able to implement it for you. Contact us to learn more.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. However, your videos will only be accessible until the end of the billing cycle. After that, viewers will no longer be able to see your content. 

To cancel your subscription, visit Billing from your account dashboard. We’d love to keep you on board; if we can help in any way, let us know before you go. 

How long has Mindstamp been in business?

Mindstamp was founded in April of 2017 and launched publicly in early 2019. We're still just getting started!

How can I delete my account?

Sorry to see you go! Contact us from the email address associated with your account and let us know you’d like your account deleted. All content associated with a deleted account will be inaccessible and permanently deleted.
