How to do it

Select Interactions and open the button, hotspot, text or image.
Make sure its Click Action is not None.
Under Timing, set Pause to At hide time (Require Click).
Set the Hide time. This is the latest point the video plays before it waits.
Save, and repeat for every interaction the viewer must click.
Test from the share link in a private browser window. Let the hide time pass without a click and check that the video waits.

Require Click and pause until click

Say a button shows from 0:05 to 0:10.

At hide time (Require Click): the video keeps playing while the button is on screen. At 0:10, if the viewer has not clicked it, the video pauses until they click this button.
At show time with Until Interaction: the video pauses at 0:05, when the button appears. A click on any interaction on screen continues the video, not only this button.

Require several clicks

Give each interaction the Require Click setting and the same hide time. If 5 hotspots show from 0:10 to 0:20, the video pauses at 0:20 until the viewer has clicked every one of them. A viewer who clicks them all before 0:20 does not see a pause.

Show progress

Use Post Click State to change each item after a click: Hidden removes it, Disabled leaves it on screen but not clickable, and Change Colors recolors it. Viewers can then see what is left. See post-click states.

Things to know

The Require Click option is not offered when the click action is None.
If a required interaction moves the viewer, with Change Time, Switch Video or Switch to Previous Video, clicking it ends the wait for all required interactions.
When you test as the video’s owner, required clicks reset so you can test again.

Stop viewers from seeking past it

Require Click only acts when playback reaches the hide time. To stop viewers from using the seek bar to jump past it, turn on Prevent passing required interactions in the video’s Settings, under Viewer experience (Core and higher plans). Viewers can still seek back.
