- What kinds of video can I use in Mindstamp?Upload a video file or use one you already host on Vimeo, Wistia, JW Player, Kaltura, Synthesia or HeyGen. See each source and when to use it.
- Can I use YouTube videos in Mindstamp?YouTube links work in Mindstamp for testing only, not for published videos. Learn how to test with YouTube and move to a supported source first.
- What is the maximum video length and file size?Videos can be up to 8 hours long. Basic limits each video to 30 minutes. See the upload file size limit for each plan and what to do if a file is too big.
- How do I compress a video to reduce its file size?Export an MP4 with H.264 and AAC, keep the frame rate, and lower resolution or bitrate only as far as the content allows. Learn when compression helps.
- What does it mean to self-host a video for Mindstamp?Self-hosting keeps the video file on storage you control, such as Amazon S3, while Mindstamp adds interactions. Learn the link rules and what you manage.
- What is HLS, and how is it different from MP4?MP4 is one video file. HLS streams short segments at several quality levels. Learn how each one affects start time, quality and features in Mindstamp.
- Why is my video blurry, and how does adaptive streaming work?Adaptive streaming can start at a lower quality and get sharper. If a video stays blurry, check the source, the connection and the player Quality setting.
- Why am I getting a video playback error?The message "This video could not play" means the player could not load the source. Reload, check the source and embed, then send support the reference code.
- What do I do if my video will not upload or process?Check file size, format, connection and library limit first. If an upload still fails, send support the video link, source, browser, device and error text.
- How do I replace the video file without losing my interactions?Use More > Replace source video to change the file behind a video. Interactions, share link and embed code stay the same. See what to check afterwards.
- Can I trim a video or combine clips in Mindstamp?Mindstamp does not edit video files. Trim or join clips in a video editor, then replace the source. Use Change Time and Switch Video to skip or chain videos.
- Why can’t I download my Mindstamp video?An interactive video runs in the Mindstamp player, so it is not one file. Download the original source, or an offline package to run it without internet.
- Does Mindstamp support vertical 9:16 videos?Yes. Upload a 9:16 portrait video and add interactions as usual. Change the embed code to a 9:16 frame so the vertical video fits your page.
- Does Mindstamp support 360-degree or VR video?No. Mindstamp plays standard flat video and does not support 360-degree, VR or AR experiences. See what happens to a 360 file and the options you have.
- How do I add closed captions or subtitles to a video?Upload a VTT or SRT caption file on the Captions page, or create a transcript to get an English caption track. Add more languages and set a default track.
- How do video transcripts work in Mindstamp?Create a searchable transcript on every plan for uploaded videos and MP4 links. Edit it, make English captions from it, or hide the viewer transcript button.
- Why can’t my video go fullscreen?iPhone does not allow an interactive player to go fullscreen, so Mindstamp hides the button there. On other devices, check that the embed allows fullscreen.
- What browsers and devices does Mindstamp work on?Viewers can watch in a current browser on a computer, phone or tablet with no app or account. See which features depend on the device or browser.
- What is a video clip in Mindstamp?A Video Clip plays a short video inside your main video, then returns to it. Learn how to add one, where clips come from, and how clips count on your plan.
- What is an audio clip in Mindstamp?An Audio Clip plays a sound or narration inside your video, then returns to it. Learn how to add, upload or record one, and when audio is the right choice.
- Why can’t I record a video or audio clip?Recording needs camera or microphone permission, HTTPS and a device that no other app is using. Fix permission errors for clips and viewer responses.
