Mindstamp help guide

Why can’t I record a video or audio clip?

Troubleshoot browser permissions, device access, security settings, and network restrictions that block clip recording.

Checked against the current Help Center and Mindstamp 4.0 walkthroughs.

Short answer

Clip recording needs a compatible browser, an HTTPS page, and permission to use the selected camera or microphone. Check the browser’s site permissions and operating-system privacy settings, close other apps using the device, reload the published experience, and test in a private window.

How to do it

  1. Confirm the page uses HTTPS and open the published experience in a current browser.
  2. Allow camera and microphone access for the site and select the intended input device.
  3. Check operating-system privacy permissions and close conferencing or recording apps.
  4. Disable strict extensions or corporate filtering temporarily and try another network.
  5. If it still fails, capture the device, OS, browser version, permission state, and exact error.

Permission denial can persist

After a viewer blocks access once, the browser may stop prompting. The permission usually has to be changed from the address-bar or site-settings control before reloading.

Provide another response path

A required recording step needs a documented alternative for viewers without a compatible device, working microphone, or permission to record.
