Mindstamp help guide
Why can’t I record a video or audio clip?
Troubleshoot browser permissions, device access, security settings, and network restrictions that block clip recording.
Short answer
Clip recording needs a compatible browser, an HTTPS page, and permission to use the selected camera or microphone. Check the browser’s site permissions and operating-system privacy settings, close other apps using the device, reload the published experience, and test in a private window.
How to do it
- Confirm the page uses HTTPS and open the published experience in a current browser.
- Allow camera and microphone access for the site and select the intended input device.
- Check operating-system privacy permissions and close conferencing or recording apps.
- Disable strict extensions or corporate filtering temporarily and try another network.
- If it still fails, capture the device, OS, browser version, permission state, and exact error.
Permission denial can persist
After a viewer blocks access once, the browser may stop prompting. The permission usually has to be changed from the address-bar or site-settings control before reloading.
Provide another response path
A required recording step needs a documented alternative for viewers without a compatible device, working microphone, or permission to record.
