Short answer
No. Mindstamp does not support 360-degree video, virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) experiences. The player shows standard flat video, in landscape, portrait or square format.
What happens if you upload a 360 video
A 360 file stores the full sphere in one flat frame. Mindstamp plays that frame as a normal video, so viewers see a stretched, curved image and cannot look around. Do not publish a 360 file as it is.
Options that work
- Export a flat, reframed version from your 360 editor. Most 360 camera apps can export a normal 16:9 or 9:16 video that follows the action.
- Let viewers choose where to look next. Export one flat video for each view or room, then use branching so viewers pick the next view.
- Use hotspots on the flat video to let viewers select objects in the scene.
Headsets
Mindstamp runs in a web browser. It does not have a VR or AR app, and it does not use headset tracking. A headset browser shows a Mindstamp video as a flat page.
