How do I embed a Mindstamp video in Kajabi?

Updated · 2 min read

Short answer

Publish the Mindstamp video and copy its Basic iframe code. In the Kajabi lesson body, open the source code editor, paste the code, and save. On a course page, you can add a Code block instead.

  1. In Mindstamp, publish the video from its Share page if it is not published yet.
  2. Under Embed, choose Basic iframe and select Copy embed code.
  3. In Kajabi, open Products, then the course, then the lesson.
  4. In the lesson body, open the source code editor.
  5. Paste the code where the video should show, then save the lesson.
  6. Preview the lesson on a computer, on a phone, and in the Kajabi app. Play the video and use each interaction.

Use a Code block on a course page

To show the video in a section of a course page, open the course, select Customize, add a Code block to the section, paste the code, and save. Kajabi documents this block for calendar and other embed codes.

Kajabi’s source view can reformat markup when you save. Use the Basic iframe code with its width and height, not a script embed. Kajabi asks you to add third-party code only from sources you trust.

Kajabi does not document how custom code shows in the Kajabi app or a branded app. Open the lesson in the app before you launch the course.

If your account restricts embed domains

If you set Allowed embed domains in Mindstamp, add your Kajabi site domain to the list. Otherwise learners see “Video not available: Code 617”. See restrict embed domains.

Know which learner watched

Copy link to Know which learner watched

The embed does not receive the learner’s Kajabi account. To see names in Mindstamp reports, add lead capture to the video so learners enter their name and email. See viewer identity and anonymous viewers.

Kajabi does not import SCORM

Copy link to Kajabi does not import SCORM

Kajabi states that it does not support SCORM or HTML5 files. The embed does not tell Kajabi that the learner finished, so learners select Mark complete. Read each learner’s answers and score in Mindstamp reports, and export them when you need a record.
