How do I add a Mindstamp video to Trainual?
Short answer
Publish the Mindstamp video and copy its Basic iframe code. In a Trainual step, select Insert in the Content editor, then Iframe, paste the code, and select Add iframe. Trainual does not save code with a script tag, so the Responsive and Popout codes fail.
How to do it
Copy link to How to do it- In Mindstamp, publish the video from its Share page if it is not published yet.
- Under Embed, choose Basic iframe and select Copy embed code.
- In Trainual, open the subject and the step you want to edit.
- In the Content editor, select Insert, then Iframe.
- Paste the code. If a div wraps the iframe, delete the div and keep the iframe tag.
- Select Add iframe, then view the step from a test account and play the video.
If Trainual says saving failed
Copy link to If Trainual says saving failedTrainual rejects any code with a script tag and shows a saving failed error. Check that the code starts with an iframe tag and has no script tag in it. Copy the Basic iframe code again from the Mindstamp Share page if you are not sure.
Upload a SCORM package
Copy link to Upload a SCORM package- Trainual says the SCORM upload feature depends on your plan.
- On the Mindstamp Share page, under Export, select Download SCORM package. This needs a Core plan or higher. Choose SCORM 1.2 or a SCORM 2004 edition and a Completion Checkpoint of 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 or 100 percent.
- Trainual accepts SCORM 1.2 or 2004 ZIP files up to 2 GB. It does not name a 2004 edition, so upload one package first.
- Upload the ZIP file, assign it, and track completions in Trainual. Learners see a Back to Home button after they complete it.
- You cannot edit SCORM content in Trainual. Change the video in Mindstamp instead, and the package shows the change without a new upload.
Read answers and scores in Mindstamp
Copy link to Read answers and scores in MindstampTrainual documents completion tracking for SCORM, not a score. Read each learner’s answers and score in Mindstamp reports, and export them when you need a record.
If your account restricts embed domains
Copy link to If your account restricts embed domainsIf you set Allowed embed domains in Mindstamp, add your Trainual domain to the list. Otherwise learners see “Video not available: Code 617”. See restrict embed domains.
Know which learner watched
Copy link to Know which learner watchedThe embed does not receive the learner’s Trainual account. To see names in Mindstamp reports, add lead capture to the video so learners enter their name and email. A SCORM package passes the name and ID from the LMS instead. See viewer identity and anonymous viewers.
