Interactive video in Kajabi

Paste the Mindstamp iframe code into the source code editor of a Kajabi lesson, and Mindstamp records each answer, click, and branch while Kajabi shows the player in the lesson. Kajabi does not support SCORM, so scores stay in Mindstamp reports, where you can export them.

Paste the code in the lesson body

  1. In Mindstamp, publish the video from its Share page.
  2. Under Embed, choose Basic iframe and select Copy embed code.
  3. In Kajabi, open the product, then the lesson. In the lesson body, open the source code editor.
  4. Paste the code where the video should show, then save the lesson.
  5. Preview the lesson on a computer, on a phone, and in the Kajabi mobile app.

No SCORM in Kajabi

Read scores in Mindstamp

Kajabi states that it does not support LMS formats like SCORM. Read scores in Mindstamp reports instead.

  1. Add lead capture at the start of the video, so each learner enters a name and email.
  2. Set a correct answer on each question, so Mindstamp scores each learner.
  3. Open Reporting in Mindstamp to see each learner’s answers and score, and export them as a CSV file.

Known issues

Check these before you publish

The editor changes the code
Kajabi’s source view can reformat markup when you save. Use the Basic iframe code with its width and height, not a script embed.
Mobile app not documented
Kajabi does not say how custom code shows in its mobile apps. Check the lesson in the app before launch.
Completion is manual
The embed does not tell Kajabi that the video ended. Learners select Mark complete.

Your Mindstamp account limits embed domains. Add your Kajabi site domain to Allowed embed domains.

Kajabi interactive video FAQ

Can I add an interactive video to a Kajabi course?

Yes. Open the lesson body in the source code editor and paste the Mindstamp iframe code. Learners use the interactions without leaving Kajabi.

Does Kajabi support SCORM?

No. Kajabi states that it does not support LMS formats such as SCORM or HTML5 files. Use the embed, and read each learner’s score in Mindstamp reports. See export training records.

Where do I paste the embed code in Kajabi?

In a lesson, open the source code editor in the lesson body and paste the code. On a course page, select Customize, add a Code block to a section, and paste it there.

Does Kajabi have its own interactive video?

Kajabi videos can have up to 20 chapters and clickable timestamps. Kajabi does not document questions, hotspots, or branching inside a video.

How do I know which learner watched?

The embed does not receive the Kajabi member account. Add lead capture to the video so learners enter a name and email. See viewer identity.
