How do I change the text alignment and design of interactions and overlays?

Short answer

For one interaction, use its Styling tab (colors, font size, alignment) or Edit as HTML on the Content tab. For overlays, open Design: the Questions section styles questions and question feedback, and the Overlays section styles Lead Capture, Messages, Magic Menu, End Screen, Genie and other panels.

How to do it

1. To align or style one text interaction, select it, open the Styling tab, and set Alignment, Colors and Font Size.
2. For formatting inside the text, open the Content tab and select Edit as HTML.
3. To style every question, open Design and go to the Questions section. Set Layout, Panel style, Colors, Transition and the question button and feedback colors.
4. To style Lead Capture, Show Message and other panels, go to the Overlays section and choose a tab: Magic Menu, End Screen, Messages, Guide, Genie panel, Lead capture, Data collection or ChatGPT.
5. Set the layout, background, text and button colors, and transition for that overlay.
6. Watch the live preview, then test the video in Preview.

Which Design section controls which overlay

• Questions: position and size, Panel style (Fill Frame or Floating Card), background, prompt, correct, incorrect and answer colors, Show Correctness, Show Question Numbering, Full Width Answers, Enter Key to Submit, Use Fullscreen Mobile, Answer prefix, Transition, and the Question buttons and Question feedback colors.
• Overlays > Lead capture: the background, text and button colors of the Lead Capture form. It uses the question position and size.
• Overlays > Messages: the layout, colors and transition of the Show message click action.
• Overlays > Magic Menu and End Screen: layout, background, transition and close-button colors.
• Overlays > Guide, Genie panel, Data collection and ChatGPT: the colors of those panels.

Give one question its own design

Open the question, go to its Design tab, and switch from Base to Custom. You can then set that question's panel style, layout, colors and transition. A question with a custom design keeps its background and text colors in its feedback and in Lead Capture.

Alignment and styling with HTML

Text, buttons, messages, question prompts and the Lead Capture prompt can show simple HTML. Use it for a line break, left alignment, a larger size or a color when the controls do not cover the need.

If a change does not show

• Check the Design level. A video-level change overrides the account and group design. A group or account change does not reach a video that has its own value in that section. Select Reset on the section to follow the inherited design again.
• If the account owner turned on Organization Design Lock, other members see account design as read-only.
• A question set to Custom design ignores the Questions colors.
