Mindstamp help guide
How do I change my video thumbnail?
Choose a clear thumbnail for a Mindstamp video and verify how it appears before playback and in shared links.
Short answer
Open the video’s design or sharing settings, replace the thumbnail or poster image, save, and test the published link. Use an image with the same aspect ratio as the player, a clear focal point, and little or no small text.
How to do it
- Create a high-resolution image that matches the video’s aspect ratio.
- Open the video and find its current thumbnail or poster-image control.
- Upload the image, save the video, and republish if the interface requests it.
- Test the direct link, website embed, and social preview separately because each surface may cache imagery.
Design for the smallest placement
A thumbnail that works at full width can become unreadable in a message preview. Use one focal point, strong contrast, and avoid text that duplicates the page title.
Expect caches
If a shared preview still shows the old image, confirm the published video first and then refresh the destination platform’s cache or wait for it to expire.
