Best interactive video software for corporate training in 2026

Compare nine interactive video tools for training by questions, branching, LMS reporting, and price, checked October 2026, and see what became of WIREWAX and Eko.

The best interactive video software for corporate training puts questions inside the video and keeps a record of each learner's answers and completion that your team can audit. The right tool depends on the job. Mindstamp adds questions and branching to video you already host. H5P and WeVideo Interactivity add activities inside an LMS. Panopto and Kaltura add quizzes to an enterprise video library, and LearnWorlds runs a full course academy. The short demo below shows three jobs a training video can do.

Pick a training goal (score comprehension, guide different learners, or keep learner evidence) and the video jumps to the features that support it. Open the demo in a new tab.

Mindstamp publishes this guide. We list our own product first and include its limits, as we do for the other tools. We read each vendor's documentation and pricing pages on October 1, 2026. We did not run one common test on every product, so this guide compares documented features and published prices. It does not measure learning results.

Which video training software is best for corporate learning?

Start with where your learners already go and which record you must keep. A tool that does one of these jobs well is often weak at another.

  • Your videos already exist and you need knowledge checks with a record for each learner. Use an interactive layer such as Mindstamp, which reports into your LMS through a SCORM package.
  • Your courses live in an LMS and you want video and non-video activities in one tool. Compare H5P and WeVideo Interactivity, which connect to the LMS through LTI.
  • Your main problem is the video library itself: recording, search, captions, and access control. Start with Panopto or Kaltura, then test whether their quiz tools cover your assessments.
  • You have no LMS and want to run courses from one site. A course platform such as LearnWorlds includes enrollment and an interactive video editor.
  • Your courses are mostly slides and you need xAPI or cmi5 tracking. An authoring tool fits better; see our guide to e-learning authoring tools.

For sales training, branching practice scenarios with a recorded path matter more than editing features; see interactive video for sales enablement. For schools and universities, Edpuzzle and WeVideo Interactivity are built around classes and students; see interactive video for education. For marketing and sales uses outside training, read our broader comparison of interactive video platforms.

Nine interactive video tools for training, reviewed

1. Mindstamp

Mindstamp adds questions and branching to video you already have. Upload a file, or connect video hosted on Vimeo, Wistia, Kaltura, or JW Player, and the file stays where it is. YouTube links work for testing, but our help center advises against sending YouTube-based videos to learners, because playback can fail without warning.

What it does for a training team:

  • Questions pause the video. You can require an answer and gate progress on a correct one. With Repeat until correct on, the learner tries again until the answer is right, and Mindstamp records every attempt, as the scoring and retries guide explains.
  • Seek controls stop a learner from dragging past a required question.
  • A wrong answer can jump back to the explanation or switch to another video, and the report shows each learner's path.
  • The completion report has one row per learner, with a score for each video. Export it as CSV, or schedule exports on supported plans.
  • A SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 package sends completion and score to a compatible LMS. Answers to each question stay in Mindstamp's learner reports.
  • Completion certificates can require a watched percentage, a minimum score, and a known learner, on supported plans. Each certificate has a verification link.
  • Learners do not need a Mindstamp account.

Before you buy, check these limits. Mindstamp is not an LMS, so it has no enrollment or course assignment. It does not export xAPI or cmi5. The SCORM package plays the hosted video, so learners need an internet connection, and the course stops playing in the LMS if you unpublish the video or your subscription ends. Single sign-on for your admin team is custom work scoped on Enterprise. Mindstamp does not hold a SOC 2 report or ISO 27001 certification, and it does not publish a WCAG conformance level or a VPAT. The accessibility page documents what the player supports, including captions and keyboard operation.

See the training use case and current plans. You can start a 14-day trial without a credit card.

2. H5P

H5P Interactive Video adds questions to a video, including multiple choice, fill in the blanks, drag and drop, and free text. A correct answer can send the learner to one point in the video, and a wrong answer to the part that explains it. H5P has more than 50 content types in total, so one tool covers video and non-video activities.

There are two ways to get it. The open-source plugins for Moodle, WordPress, and Drupal are free, but your team hosts them and installs each content type. H5P.com is the paid hosted service. Its pricing page lists Pro and Premium for 3 to 10 authors and Enterprise for unlimited authors, with SSO and external LRS access on Enterprise. Gradebook scoring, drill-down reports, and resume all need an LTI connection to your LMS. The price calculator showed USD 1,560 per year for three authors with yearly billing when we checked on October 1, 2026.

Check that your LMS supports LTI before you count on named learner results. A plain website embed does not send scores to an LMS. See Mindstamp vs. H5P.

3. WeVideo Interactivity (PlayPosit)

PlayPosit is now part of WeVideo. The PlayPosit Academy covers interactive lessons, branched learning, and LMS workflows for Canvas, D2L, Schoology, Moodle, and Blackboard. WeVideo's D2L Brightspace article says existing PlayPosit LMS setups move to WeVideo Interactivity, and that the LMS integration is available only to some users, through their customer success manager.

WeVideo markets interactive video for employee onboarding. Its pricing page lists the interactive video designer on the Instructor plan ($384 per year, billed annually, for a 30-seat account) and on the quote-based Organization plan. WeVideo describes the Organization plan for classrooms and campuses, and the business plans in its comparison did not list interactivity when we checked on October 1, 2026. Ask WeVideo which plan covers employee training before you start a pilot. See Mindstamp vs. PlayPosit.

4. Panopto

Panopto is an enterprise video platform. Its interactivity page describes quizzes and knowledge checks at any timestamp that pause playback, with results in the LMS gradebook and Panopto's analytics. It also lists time-stamped comments and a completion percentage for each learner. Branching scenarios come through the Elai add-on. Panopto announced its acquisition of Elai, an AI text-to-video tool, on October 23, 2024.

The Panopto pricing page is quote-only. It lists SOC 2, SSO, and LMS integrations for Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and D2L in the standard package, and the Elai AI Video Studio as a separately priced add-on (checked October 1, 2026). Ask which assessment features your quote includes. Mindstamp no longer offers a Panopto import, so to add Mindstamp interactions to a Panopto recording, upload the original file. See Mindstamp vs. Panopto.

5. Kaltura

Kaltura has two separate interactive tools. Its video quiz adds multiple-choice, true or false, and open-ended questions that pause playback, with settings for skipping, hints, and retakes. Quizzes assigned through an LMS such as Canvas sync grades to the LMS gradebook. Interactive Video Paths connect separate videos, called nodes, on a map, and learners move between them with hotspots.

Kaltura's quiz documentation notes that one video cannot include both a quiz and hotspots. If you want a scored question and a choice in the same scenario video, test that design first. Kaltura's pricing page asks for a quote for its video portal and most other products. Mindstamp can also use Kaltura-hosted video. See Mindstamp vs. Kaltura.

6. LearnWorlds

LearnWorlds is a course platform with an interactive video editor. The editor adds questions, branching, and overlays, and reports plays, rewatches, drop-offs, and interactions. The feature page says the full editor starts with the Learning Center plan and that lower plans include some interactive video features.

The LearnWorlds pricing page lists Learning Center at $299 per month, or $249 per month billed annually, with 2,000 monthly active learners and 25 admins (checked October 1, 2026). If you already have an LMS, a second course site means a second place to enroll learners, so LearnWorlds fits best when it is your LMS.

7. Edpuzzle

Edpuzzle builds interactive video lessons for students and tracks their progress. Its help center covers creating video lessons and managing student progress, including a gradebook for each class. The product is built around teachers and their classes.

For employee training, test how employees join a class and retake a lesson, and confirm the account model with Edpuzzle. See Mindstamp vs. Edpuzzle.

8. Vimeo

Vimeo is a video hosting platform. Its help center says new interactive videos, with hotspots and timed jump or pause actions, require an Enterprise plan. The plan guide also puts Interactive studio on Enterprise, while lower paid plans include simpler tools such as forms and chapters. Vimeo's interactive video page lists quizzes and polls, branching, and shoppable hotspots.

Vimeo completed its purchase of WIREWAX in December 2021, and Bending Spoons completed its acquisition of Vimeo on November 24, 2025. For training, ask for a sample report that shows each learner's quiz answers before you sign an Enterprise contract. Mindstamp can also add questions to video you keep on Vimeo. See Mindstamp vs. Vimeo.

9. Dot.vu

Dot.vu describes itself as a no-code platform for interactive presentations, videos, flipbooks, and other formats that generate leads and drive conversions. Its feature catalog covers branching video, shoppable video, and quiz questions, plus analytics and CRM integrations. We found no LMS or SCORM support on that page.

All four plans on the Dot.vu pricing page, from Basic to Enterprise, show "Get a Quote" (checked October 1, 2026). Dot.vu fits customer education inside a marketing program better than internal compliance training. See Mindstamp vs. Dot.vu.

Dot.vuActive.Reviewed above.

Brightcove's guide shows the work an acquisition can create: it asks HapYak customers to replace embed codes on their sites and to upload new SCORM packages to their LMS. Before you commit years of courses to any tool, confirm that you can export every learner record, and ask what happens to published courses if the product changes. If you need narrative branching for scenario training, you can also compare Mindstamp with Stornaway.

How much does interactive training software cost?

No single price holds across this category, because vendors charge for different things. These are published examples, checked October 1, 2026:

  • Per author: the H5P.com calculator showed USD 1,560 per year for three authors with yearly billing.
  • Per plan with a learner cap: LearnWorlds Learning Center costs $249 per month billed annually, for up to 2,000 monthly active learners.
  • Per seat bundle: the WeVideo Instructor plan costs $384 per year for a 30-seat account.
  • Quote only: Panopto, Kaltura, Vimeo Enterprise, and Dot.vu.

Mindstamp prices plans by the videos in your library, admin seats, and monthly streaming minutes, with unlimited viewers and no per-viewer billing. See current Mindstamp pricing.

Costs to add for an enterprise rollout

  • Single sign-on and security review. H5P lists SSO on its Enterprise plan and Mindstamp scopes SSO as Enterprise custom work, while Panopto lists SSO in its standard package.
  • LMS setup. An LMS administrator must register each LTI tool, and each SCORM package needs a test upload in your LMS.
  • Video production and updates. Count the cost of recording again when a procedure changes, and check whether you can edit questions without exporting the video again.
  • Captions and translation for each language your learners use.
  • Admin time to pull and file completion reports for audits.

To compare quotes, give every vendor the same scenario: the number of authors, courses, and learners per year, and the minutes each learner watches.

What to look for when buying an interactive training tool for corporate use

Take this list to vendor demos, and ask the vendor to show each item in the product.

  1. Questions inside the video that pause playback, require an answer, and record each attempt. A quiz after the video only tells you what a learner remembered at the end.
  2. Seek control. If learners can drag the seek bar, they can reach a completion point based on playback position without watching.
  3. Learner identity. Confirm how each learner is identified (LMS launch, single sign-on, email, or an employee ID) and what happens when the same person changes devices.
  4. A clear results path. Ask which fields reach your LMS, such as completion, score, and pass or fail, and which stay in the vendor's reports. SCORM, LTI, xAPI, and CSV export each carry different data.
  5. Engagement analytics you will use: watch percentage for each learner, drop-off by section, and the answer breakdown for each question.
  6. Accessibility evidence: captions, keyboard operation, screen reader labels, and a VPAT or WCAG statement if your procurement team requires one.
  7. Security documents: SSO, a SOC 2 report or ISO 27001 certificate if your policy requires one, a data processing agreement, and data storage locations.
  8. An exit plan: a full export of learner records, and a clear answer on what happens to published courses if you cancel.

Set expectations before you compare dashboards. Across 8.07 million views of 18,315 Mindstamp videos (2018 to October 2026), the average view played 46.5% of the video. Videos of one minute or less averaged 59.4% watched, and videos longer than 20 minutes averaged 41.7%. These are mostly training, marketing, and sales videos from Mindstamp customers, and many factors differ between them, so use the figures to set rough expectations for your own reports. Define completion with required questions as well as a watch percentage.

Test one real course before you buy

Use an existing training video and a real decision from your course. Write down the expected result before you build the trial, so you can compare vendors that use different names for the same feature.

  1. Add a question at the point where the learner must apply the instruction. Answer it once correctly and once incorrectly.
  2. Send the wrong answer to feedback or a review section. Check that the learner can return and finish.
  3. Try to drag past the question as a learner, in a private browser window. Admin accounts can see skip controls that learners do not.
  4. Leave before the end, reopen the video, and check what the learner sees and what the report records.
  5. Open the learner report. Compare the identity, answers, attempts, score, and completion with what you did.
  6. Launch the video the way learners will (LMS, page embed, or link) and confirm the fields in the receiving system.
  7. Repeat the task on the devices your learners use, with captions on and with a keyboard only.

Record the plan and setup work that each trial needed. A completion record and a quiz score show what happened in the video. To see whether work on the job changed, add a follow-up task and use our guide to measuring training effectiveness.

Common questions

Which leading platforms support video branching for training content?

Of the tools in this guide, these document branching (checked October 1, 2026):

  • Mindstamp: jumps within a video, switches to another video, and routes by answer.
  • H5P: jumps within one video based on the answer.
  • WeVideo Interactivity: branched learning, documented in PlayPosit Academy.
  • Kaltura: Interactive Video Paths between separate videos.
  • Panopto: branching through the Elai add-on.
  • LearnWorlds: branching in its interactive video editor.
  • Vimeo: branching listed on its interactive video page, on Enterprise.
  • Dot.vu: branching video.

For design advice, read our guide to interactive video branching.

Where can I buy an interactive training platform that includes engagement analytics?

Buy from the vendor. Mindstamp, H5P.com, LearnWorlds, and WeVideo offer free trials you can start yourself; the Mindstamp trial lasts 14 days and needs no credit card. Panopto, Kaltura, Vimeo Enterprise, and Dot.vu sell through a quote. In both cases, ask for a sample learner report from a real video before you sign.

What software do large enterprises use to produce compliance training video at scale?

No single tool does all of it. A workable stack has four parts:

  • An LMS that assigns courses and keeps the official record.
  • A video platform for hosting and access control.
  • A production tool, which can include AI avatar video from Synthesia or HeyGen.
  • An interactive layer or authoring tool that adds knowledge checks and sends a score back.

Mindstamp can use Synthesia and HeyGen videos as sources. For compliance, test seek control and the export of each learner's record first. For more tools that score learners, see our list of video assessment tools.

Can YouTube host interactive training video?

YouTube Help documents cards, up to five per video, and end screens in the last 5 to 20 seconds. Link cards and links to outside websites need the YouTube Partner Program. Neither feature asks a question or records each learner's answer. Mindstamp accepts YouTube links for testing only, so for training, upload the file or use a business video host. More options are in our guide to interactive YouTube videos, and the Mindstamp and YouTube comparison covers the differences.

Can a shoppable video platform be used for training?

Shoppable video tools are built to sell. Vidjet describes itself as a shoppable video platform for e-commerce stores on Shopify, PrestaShop, and WooCommerce. Videowise presents itself as a video commerce platform for product pages and live shopping. A training team can borrow the mechanics, such as a hotspot on a safety hazard in place of a product. It still needs learner identity, scores, and LMS delivery, and neither home page lists those features.

Does Mindstamp support xAPI or cmi5?

No. Mindstamp exports SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 packages and does not send statements to a learning record store. If your team requires xAPI, the H5P.com Enterprise plan lists external LRS access. Our xAPI and cmi5 help page explains the options.

Your next step

Choose the two tools from the table that match your job, and run the seven-step test on both with the same video. If Mindstamp is one of them, book a training demo and bring a source video and the report fields your LMS must receive, or start the trial and build the test yourself.
