Choose a video you have permission to use. Write down what the viewer must do and what your team must learn from the response. A form submission, a correct answer, and a watched video are different results.
- Upload or connect the video through the supported method. Check the picture, audio, captions, and playback before adding interactions.
- Add the action your project needs. For a lead video, try a form and a destination link. For training, try a question and the response the learner should see.
- If the project needs branching, build the required choices and follow each path. Check incorrect answers and the route back to the main video.
- Preview the experience as a viewer. Use a phone as well as a desktop, and check that you can use the controls with a keyboard.
Record where the author needs help and whether the available guide resolves the problem. Measure the time your own team spends; do not use a vendor's general ease-of-use claim as a setup estimate.
Check publishing access before choosing
Creating a video and placing it on your website can involve different people. Ask the website owner which embed formats the site accepts and who can publish a change. A copy-and-paste embed still requires access to the page where it will appear.

Then change an interaction and repeat the test. Check how the update reaches the published page and whether your team can distinguish the old test from the new one. Include this maintenance task in your evaluation; your team will need to edit videos after launch.
If you need a CRM or LMS connection, test the required fields and delivery in a test environment. Confirm the plan, permissions, and setup help required. A feature name alone does not prove that a connection meets your workflow.
Choose from your team's results
Record the completed task, help needed, publishing access, and report you obtained for each product. Ask the people who will maintain the videos to repeat the work. Use their results to decide which setup they can support.
