How to use HTML in your interactive videos
Mindstamp specializes in empowering our users to create engaging, interactive, and creative videos that give your audience an unforgettable experience. One of the many tools that we offer to our users is the ability to edit their interactions using HTML. Whether you are creating a text interaction, button, or question, you can use HTML to apply formatting, add icons, add text effects, embed 3rd party content and much more.
Formatting
By using HTML formatting, you can easily add structure and styling to your interactions, making it easier for your viewers to understand and navigate. For example, you can use HTML tags to create headings, paragraphs, and bullet points. You can also adjust the color and style to match your brand's identity. Or, use some of our built in text effects to give your interactions some pizazz. For example, you can use HTML tags to create bold or italicized text, or to add special effects like shadows or highlights. You can also use CSS to add more advanced text effects, such as animation or hover effects.
Icons
Adding icons to your interactive videos is a great way to visually communicate with your viewers. Icons can be used to highlight specific points in your video or provide visual cues on what some of your interactions might achieve. By partnering with Font Awesome, you can easily browse and add icons to your videos and customize their appearance to match your brand's design aesthetic.
Embedding 3rd Party Content
Another powerful use of HTML in interactive videos is the ability to embed 3rd party content. For example, you can use HTML to embed social media feeds, e-commerce widgets, or even other videos within your interactive video. This not only enhances the user experience, but can also help to drive conversions and engagement.
Try It Out!
The easiest way to get started is by adding a text interaction.
Once creating the text interaction, you can choose Edit in HTML:
From there, you will see an HTML editor where you can apply headers, formatting, lists, and spacing.
Additionally, you can use the 4 sample buttons to add icons and fun text stylings. Below is an example of what you can accomplish with HTML in a text interaction:
You can also use these features in question prompts, message dialogs, in your end call-to-action and resource trays. Your options are only limited to your creativity.
By using HTML to customize the viewing experience of your interactive videos, you can create a more engaging and personalized experience for your audience. So, next time you're creating an interactive video, consider using HTML to take your viewer experience to the next level!
