Lead Generation with Interactive Video – A Deep Dive with Tyson Zahner

Learn how Tyson Zahner uses interactive video to collect and qualify lead at attractsteadyclients.com

Tyson Zahner used Mindstamp to add choices and lead qualification to his marketing video.

I can't even begin to say how pleased I've been with the software and my experience with Mindstamp.

This case study shows how he used interactive video to keep viewers involved and route qualified leads to relevant offers.

The Challenge

Tyson needed his marketing video to hold attention and show each viewer relevant content.

Traditional video content, often passive and unoptimized for the modern viewer, struggled to hold their attention, leading to low engagement and conversion rates, and ultimately less business success. Tyson was searching for a way to change the tide.

The Solution

Mindstamp let Tyson change the video path based on each viewer’s input.

Interactive elements like buttons, branching, and questions turned a typically passive viewer into somebody that's eagerly awaiting the next step in the video so they can provide their input and see the content change as a result.

Each choice sent the viewer to a relevant path and helped Tyson filter leads by their stated needs.

The Results

Tyson witnessed a boost in engagement and an increase in enriched lead quality and conversions. The “choose your own adventure” (also known as Branching) style videos assured viewers felt directly addressed, amplifying the message’s impact and relevance, and ultimately lead to more of the conversions Tyson was seeking.

Q&A with Tyson

What has your experience with Mindstamp been like?

I can't speak highly enough of it, truly - and I'm not just saying that because you're sitting in front of me.

First of all, just our experience in the interface, it has been so easy to learn and so easy to use. Before we met with you guys, I will be honest, I found you guys from somebody else that was using your software and I was like, oh, this is cool. How are they doing this?

And I went out doing a search for Interactive Video and I was like, who uses Interactive Video? I mean, who is this company? And I found a competitor of yours that I thought was you guys.I got on a sales call with them and they were explaining their interface and I showed them what the video did. They said, yeah, that's not ours.

And then once I ended up finding it, I was able to find the embed code and finally find out that it was Mindstamp, and that's when I got in touch with you guys and went forward.

That was my biggest concern was, is this going to be a nightmare to set up technologically? And you guys have just made the interface, in my experience, simple to use, I've genuinely loved it.

And I know this isn't something you asked about, but I'm going to offer it:

Tyler and his team have been so incredibly helpful - just one of the best customer support experiences I could have ever asked for. When I have a question and I email, these guys get back to me like they really care about their customers.

I can't even begin to say how pleased I've been with the software and my experience with Mindstamp.

Tyson's Advice to new users:

"I will say if you get an interactive software like Mindstamp, in my experience, it's best if you start with a simple interactive experience to dial in your messaging first instead.

If you haven't marketed for a while and you don't know exactly who your audience is, who you're talking to, you can end up getting really in the weeds.I mean, you could spend two months creating a video with all of these different paths and make it super complicated. You're doing it like taking shots in the dark saying, man, I don't know what messaging angle is going to land with people.

And so this is why I often recommend to people, like, if you're going to use a tool like Mindstamp, which I love and recommend, start with something simple that keeps them engaged, but doesn't take you a ton of time to create."

Conclusion

Tyson used viewer choices to personalize the content and qualify leads. The final path directed each viewer to an offer that matched the answers they gave.
