Interactive video in Easygenerator

Easygenerator runs no JavaScript, so the Mindstamp Basic iframe code in an HTML block is the way to put questions inside a course video. Your LMS records the video score only from a separate Mindstamp SCORM package, because the Easygenerator course itself receives nothing from the player.

Three ways to add it

Add the video to a content page

Embed, Basic iframe

Paste the iframe in an HTML block

In Mindstamp, publish the video from its Share page.
Under Embed, choose Basic iframe and copy the code. Easygenerator turns JavaScript off, so the Responsive and Popout codes do not run.
In Easygenerator, open the content page, select the Embed tab in the left menu, and drag an HTML block into the layout.
Paste the code, then adjust the iframe width and height to fit the page.
Preview the page, then publish the course and play the video as a learner.

SCORM, next to the course

Add the package to your LMS

Easygenerator publishes its own course as SCORM or xAPI. The Mindstamp player sends nothing to that course, so the package goes to the LMS as a separate item.

On the Mindstamp Share page, under Export, select Download SCORM package. This needs a Core plan or higher.
In SCORM Version, match your LMS. If the Easygenerator course already runs there as SCORM 2004 4th edition, choose the same.
In Completion Checkpoint, choose 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 or 100 percent. The 80 and 85 percent options do not record completion.
Upload the ZIP file to your LMS as its own course or item, beside the Easygenerator course.
Run both as a test learner and check the score in the LMS.

Known issues

Check these before you publish

The HTML block is empty: Easygenerator disables JavaScript, so script embeds show nothing. Paste the Basic iframe code.
Content behind a login fails: Easygenerator says to embed content open to everyone or to anyone with the link. Links that need a login show an error.
No score in the course: The Easygenerator course records nothing from the player. Use the SCORM package in your LMS when the score counts.
Video not available: Code 617: Your Mindstamp account limits embed domains. Add the domain where learners open the course, such as your LMS.

Easygenerator interactive video FAQ

Can I add an interactive video to an Easygenerator course?

Yes, with an HTML block. Open the Embed tab in the left menu, drag an HTML block into the content page, and paste the Mindstamp Basic iframe code. The player shows inside the page, and learners answer the questions there.

Why does the Responsive embed code fail in Easygenerator?

Easygenerator says JavaScript is disabled and cannot be added to the HTML block. The Mindstamp Responsive and Popout codes load a script, so they do not run. The Basic iframe code has no script, so use that one, and set its width and height to fit your layout.

Does Easygenerator have interactive video?

Easygenerator help documents video blocks with recording and subtitles, but no questions inside the video. Easygenerator’s own blog, updated September 2026, rates the in-video interactivity of EasyVideo as “low”, with questions before and after the video. The same post lists Mindstamp for voice and video response questions and branching.

Does the Easygenerator course record the video score?

No. The embedded player sends nothing to the Easygenerator course, whether you publish it as SCORM or xAPI. Upload the Mindstamp SCORM package to your LMS as its own item. It sends completion and a score, the percent of questions answered correctly, and passes the learner’s LMS name and ID to Mindstamp. See SCORM export.

Can Mindstamp send xAPI like Easygenerator does?

No. Easygenerator publishes xAPI as well as SCORM, but Mindstamp exports SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 3rd and 4th editions only. If your LMS needs xAPI from the video itself, read xAPI and cmi5.
