Training budgets usually count content and platforms and skip the biggest line: learner time. Two hundred and fifty employees taking eight hours of training at a 45-dollar loaded rate is 90,000 dollars of payroll spent on training in a year: before a single license fee. When learner time has a cost, completion and comprehension rates become financial figures. If 35% of learners do not finish training, 35% of its payroll cost does not reach completion.
