Learner-ready framing
A title and instructions written to the learner, plus an estimated difficulty for the set.
A quiz checks attention. An assessment certifies competence: which is why it needs more than questions. It needs instructions the learner reads before starting, a passing score someone can defend, a difficulty calibrated to the stakes, and a plan for the learner who does not pass.
The passing score deserves the most thought and usually gets the least. Compliance topics justify 90% or higher because the material is the minimum standard, not a stretch goal. Skills checks sit lower, because they measure growth. When you ask the tool to recommend a score, it reasons from the purpose you set: and tells you its reasoning, so you can overrule it.
Remediation uses the diagnostic information from the assessment. The generated advice points a learner back to the sections that contain the tested concepts.
Delivered inside a Mindstamp video, the assessment stops being an attachment: questions appear during the training, each learner’s answers and score are recorded, and a failed check can replay the section that taught the concept before asking again.
