Welcome to the monthly newsletter!
There are a handful of default text ‘strings’ used in Mindstamp to provide status indication, feedback or direction to your viewers.
These include items like Skip or Continue buttons, numbering for questions, and indications of correct answers. You can now easily change those default labels to the language of your choice. This is perfect if your video isn’t going to be viewed with English as the primary language or if you simply want to tune the text to better match your brand or video intent.
Language localization strings are available under the Design tab on your video. Update to the content of your choice, hit Done, and the updates will automatically apply the next time a viewer interacts with your video.
There may be situations where you want to copy, duplicate or replicate the interactions you’ve already created between videos, and Mindstamp has now made that easier than ever. For instance:
▪️ You have one specific interaction you plan to use again and again in multiple videos and don’t want to recreate it each time.
▪️ You want to replace the underlying video with a new source video and copy over interactions you’ve previously created.
▪️ You were testing out Mindstamp and are ready to move to a real production experience but a handful of the interactions you’ve assembled need to be reused.
This is now as simple as a few clicks. Check under ‘More’ on your video editing screen and you’ll see a control to ‘Import Interactions’. Click that and you’ll have the option to import ALL interactions from another video (a complete set) or you can view recent interactions you’ve made and selectively import just those that you want.
For individual interactions, you’ll find an easily organized list of video interaction by type - including buttons, questions, hotspots and images - that you can quickly identify by associated video and created on date.
We often get asked about how to explicitly control each item of the Mindstamp video player, including controls like interaction markers on the video seekbar, fast forward, rewind, and display of the video time.
We’ve consolidated the controls for all of these features into one area under the Design function labeled ‘Seekbar and Controls’ such that you can achieve the exact presentation experience you want for your interactive video with just a few clicks. Your viewers can be fully immersed or able to navigate and control their experience.
You’re in control!
