This month we introduced Dynamic Video Clip Size + Positioning, Rating Questions, Transcript Editing + Automatic Closed Captions,  Constant Contact Integration, and more!

New Features

Video Clip Size and Placement Control

Just like you’ve been able to do with buttons, hotspots and images, you can now dynamically size and place video clips that play on top of your core video and apply conditional logic to those clips to trigger if they play or not.

Simply add a video clip from your current Asset Library (available in your menu drop down), record a new video clip directly from your device, or upload a video clip. Size, move and place the video clip how you’d like it to appear.

NOTE: Video clips will always play full screen on mobile devices due to screen size, and will always play full screen if they are trigger in response to a question.

‘Rating’ Question Type

We’ve introduced a new Rating question type that allows your viewer to answer via a standard 1-5 star review format. The answers are captured as numeric values and can be used in Mindstamp’s conditional logic engine.

For instance, if you get a 5 star rating, you can ask for a review. If you get a rating less than 4 stars you can ask follow up questions.

Transcript Editing + Automatic Closed Captioning

If you upload your videos to Mindstamp directly or use an accessible file link hosted elsewhere, Mindstamp can automatically create a transcript for you. Transcripts are fully editable and will appear in your Video Guide if you choose to surface them, making an easily searchable interface for your viewers.

Additionally, Mindstamp will convert your transcript into closed captions that will display on the video for accessibility and no-volume viewing. You can always disable captions if you’d prefer to limit the transcript to the Video Guide.

Constant Contact Integration

Mindstamp can now directly integrate with your Constant Contact CRM platform via the Constant Contact API. Based on viewer interactions with your videos, you can update Contact records with custom properties or automatically enroll contacts in a new list to trigger the next email. We're working on a few things right now that we're excited to share with you:

• Advanced Hotspot Controls: We’re adding new configuration controls to hotspots to increase the precision with which you can activate very specific areas of your video based on a viewer’s click.

• Enhanced Reporting Engine: We’re enhancing the Mindstamp reporting engine to give you more control of how you filter and review your views and interactions. This will also allow you to more easily export large data sets and review data by date range.

• Lead Capture Configuration: Mindstamp lets you capture structured lead information - including Name, Email, Phone and Custom ID - when a viewer first starts watching a video or when they click on their first interaction. We’re enhancing this default behavior to allow you to designate other events within your video - a specific time or specific interaction event - that should trigger the capture of this lead information.

• Mindstamp Zapier Integration: Mindstamp connects to hundreds of third party applications through Zapier by leveraging their native Webhook ‘Zap’. You can trigger Mindstamp Webhooks for a View, Lead Capture or every Interaction event. We’re making this easier than ever with our own native ‘Zap’ which will easily authenticate and connect to your Mindstamp account and allow for simplified configuration of the data you want delivered and mapping to the systems you use most.
