Welcome to the monthly newsletter!
Many Mindstamp users have multiple interactive videos that they integrate together into a choose-your-own-adventure style experience for their viewers. This might include a series of product videos where a viewer is navigating to learn more about a specific feature or capability, a collection of related training videos that support self navigation and discovery, or a collection of customer or employee onboarding videos with topics that vary in applicability based on the audience.
Mindstamp has always made it simple to allow a viewer to navigate to another interactive video with the click of a button, hotspot, image or custom-text. Historically, that other video would begin from the beginning, but with a recent release you can now designate the exact start time in the video your viewer is switching in order to take them directly to the content that’s most relevant. Simply choose Switch Video as the action, the Mindstamp video you want to switch to, and the time in the new video to start.
If you want to jump the viewer back into the main flow of your original video automatically, just use an ‘Add Navigation’ interaction, choose Switch Video and jump them back to the point they departed. Regardless of how many integrated videos you have, the combination of Switch Video with a specific start time allows you to maximize viewer engagement and interest.
We recognize that Mindstamp videos are essential elements of your overall business, and that the data you collect from your videos is used to drive critical business functions like sales and marketing.
To provide ever better control for how you integrate and build Mindstamp videos into your Hubspot sales and marketing processes, we’ve enhanced our native Hubspot integration with unique timeline events / engagement activities to distinguish clicks on items in your videos from the answers your viewers provide in response to questions. Each timeline event has a structured set of data that you can use to enroll your viewers in Hubspot lists and then trigger workflows for follow on messaging or sales activity.
If you have custom properties created on your contacts, Mindstamp can also directly update those custom properties with values you collect in your video. Please contact us to learn more!
Sometimes little design touches can have a big impact on your viewer’s engagement. The default play button for Mindstamp videos is a basic play icon that adopts the Accent Color chosen under video Design - Color/Font.
Now, Core and Enterprise customers can change the default play button by uploading their own image underneath Design - Thumbnail Image / Play Button.
You can get as creative as you want, including adding an animated gif to your button to draw in your viewers from the beginning.
