Interactive video in Litmos

Paste the Mindstamp embed code into an Embed content module in a Litmos course, or upload a SCORM 1.2 package for completion and a score. Litmos help pages need a login, so these steps come from partner guides by Synthesia, 123FormBuilder, and iSpring.

Add an Embed content module

  1. In Mindstamp, publish the video from its Share page.
  2. Under Embed, choose Responsive and select Copy embed code. Litmos accepts iframe and script code.
  3. In the Litmos course, select Add Module, Create, then Embed content.
  4. Paste the code in the Embed text box, add a title, and save.
  5. Preview the module as a learner on a computer and on a phone.

SCORM 1.2

Upload a SCORM 1.2 package

Litmos lists SCORM, xAPI, and AICC. Public documents confirm SCORM 1.2, so choose 1.2.

  1. On the Mindstamp Share page, under Export, select Download SCORM package. This needs a Core plan or higher.
  2. In SCORM Version, choose SCORM 1.2.
  3. In Completion Checkpoint, choose 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 or 100 percent. The 80 and 85 percent options do not record completion.
  4. Add a SCORM module to the Litmos course and upload the ZIP file.
  5. Allow pop-ups for your Litmos site, then run the module as a test learner.

Check these before you publish

Pop-up blocked
Partner guides say Litmos opens SCORM courses in a new window. Allow pop-ups for your Litmos site.
Embed completion is not documented
Partner guides do not say when an Embed content module counts as complete. Use SCORM when completion must come from the video.
Module names can differ
These steps come from partner guides, because Litmos help pages need a login. Check the names in your Litmos account.
Video not available: Code 617
Your Mindstamp account limits embed domains. Add your Litmos site domain to Allowed embed domains.

Can I add an interactive video to Litmos?

Yes. Add an Embed content module and paste the Mindstamp embed code, or upload a SCORM 1.2 package.

Which SCORM version should I use for Litmos?

SCORM 1.2. Litmos lists SCORM, xAPI, and AICC, and partner guides confirm SCORM 1.2. Public documents do not confirm SCORM 2004. See SCORM export.

Can I use the Responsive embed code in Litmos?

Partner guides show Litmos accepting both iframe and script embed code in an Embed content module. If the player does not show, use the Basic iframe code.
