Mindstamp help guide
Can I change a video’s social title, image, and description?
Set the title, description, and image used for a shared Mindstamp link and troubleshoot stale social previews.
Short answer
Use the video’s sharing metadata controls to set a concise title, accurate description, and strong preview image, then test the public URL. Each social network may cache its own copy, crop the image, or choose different metadata, so validate the final preview on the networks that matter.
How to do it
- Write a title that names the value of the video rather than repeating the account name.
- Add a one- or two-sentence description and a high-resolution landscape image.
- Save and inspect the signed-out public link.
- Run the URL through each destination network’s preview debugger or cache refresh tool.
- Repeat the check after changing the canonical share URL or access controls.
The destination controls the final card
Mindstamp provides metadata, but the social platform decides whether to use it, how to crop it, and how long to cache it. A correct source preview does not guarantee an old post will update.
Interactivity stays behind the link
The preview card sends the viewer to the Mindstamp experience. Major social platforms do not preserve the interactive layer in a native video upload.
