How do I change my social share image?

Update the image used when a Mindstamp video link is shared and understand why a social network may continue showing an older preview.

Checked against the current Help Center and Mindstamp 4.0 walkthroughs.

Short answer

Update the video’s share image or social preview image in its sharing/design settings, save the change, and test the public URL. Social networks cache link metadata, so the Mindstamp preview can be correct while a previously shared post still displays the old image.

How to do it

  1. Prepare a high-resolution landscape image with one focal point and little small text.
  2. Open the video’s sharing or design settings and replace the social preview image.
  3. Save, publish if requested, and inspect the public link while signed out.
  4. Use the destination network’s link-debug or cache-refresh tool when it continues to show old metadata.

The video thumbnail and share image may be different

The poster shown in the player and the image read by a social crawler serve different placements. Verify both instead of assuming one update changes every surface.
