How do I create and use groups in Mindstamp?

Short answer

Groups organize content-library access for different account users—for example, giving a design team and a training team access to different content. Current plan allowances are 5 Groups on Core, 15 on Pro, and 50+ on Enterprise; Basic does not list Groups. Groups and Playlists have separate rows in the current pricing matrix and should not be treated as the same feature.

How to do it

1. Define which account users need access to which parts of the content library.
2. Choose a durable group name based on the team, client, department, or responsibility it represents.
3. Add the intended users and content with the current account workflow.
4. Test the resulting library access with a non-owner account before relying on it.
5. Document who maintains group membership when people or responsibilities change.

Groups control account-user organization

The current pricing FAQ describes Groups as a way to organize the content library for other users. A viewer audience, account-user group, and video playlist solve different problems, so do not substitute one for another without testing the access model.

Current plan allowances

Core includes up to 5 Groups, Pro includes 15, and Enterprise lists 50+. The Basic plan does not list a Group allowance. Check the current pricing page before purchasing because packaging can change.

Groups are represented in exported data

Mindstamp’s current export-field reference includes group_id and group_name when the viewed video belongs to a Group. This supports filtering and attribution, but it does not by itself define every permission or report available in the account interface.
