Demo example
Video branching, two paths.
Allow viewers to choose their own path through your content with video branching, also known as "Choose Your Own Adventure" experiences.
How it was built
Three interactions, one recording
Each interaction sits on the timeline of an ordinary video. The source recording stays unchanged.
- Video branching
- Buttons
- Navigation
What it does
Video Branching is the act of letting viewers choose their own path through your content by clicking on-screen items to move throughout the video or switch to a new video entirely.
This is an example made on Mindstamp that simulates a "travel concierge" scenario where a viewer is asked where they would like to vacation. Based on their answer, the video changes to the appropriate screen, where more information would be provided and viewer action would be encouraged to book their trip.
What it reports
Each interaction is measured
- Every choice recorded
- The report connects each branch path to its viewer.
- Answers per viewer
- What they responded, attached to the interaction and its timecode.
- Actions attributed
- The click, booking, or purchase tied to the moment that caused it.
