Workday lists Android 5 or later and iOS 11 or later. Turn it on before you assign the course to learners who train on phones. ### Link to the video Use this lesson for optional viewing. Workday tracks an External Content lesson only when the external app sends tracking statements to its Lesson Trackings API. Mindstamp does not send them, so the lesson records nothing from the video. 1. In Mindstamp, publish the video from its **Share** page. 2. Select **Copy link** to copy the share link. 3. In Workday, add an **External Content** lesson to the course and paste the link in **Content URL**. 4. Leave **Enable External Completion** off. When it is on, Workday records progress and grades only from Lesson Trackings REST API statements, and Mindstamp sends none. 5. Open the lesson as a test learner on a computer and on a phone. On the Mindstamp **Share** page, under **Export**, select **Download SCORM package**. This needs a Core plan or higher. 2. In **SCORM Version**, choose any version. Workday lists SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 2nd to 4th editions. 3. In **Completion Checkpoint**, choose 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 or 100 percent. The 80 and 85 percent options do not record completion. 4. In Workday, add a **Media** lesson and upload the ZIP file as packaged content. 5. If the course needs a grade, set this lesson to provide the primary score. 6. Enroll a test learner and play past the checkpoint. Check the completion and the score. ## Workday can add questions to video it hosts ### Workday Media Cloud interactions - Multiple-choice, checkbox, open-response, and text-note interactions at timeline markers. - The video pauses and a sidebar shows the interaction. Workday scores multiple-choice and checkbox answers. - The interactions run on video hosted in Workday Media Cloud. ### What Mindstamp adds - Hotspots and branching, which Workday does not document. - Questions on video that you host outside Workday. - The same video and report in Workday and on other platforms. - Each answer by learner in Mindstamp, with the Workday learner ID from SCORM. ## Check these before you publish ### An External Content link records nothing Workday tracks external lessons only from Lesson Trackings API statements, and Mindstamp does not send them. Use packaged content when the course needs completion. ### No question detail in Workday The Packaged Content Tracking report lists interactions for SCORM 2004 4th edition. The Mindstamp package sends completion and a score only, so read each answer in Mindstamp. ### The link may open outside Workday Workday does not document whether an External Content link opens inside Workday or in a new tab. Open it as a test learner before you add it to a required course. ### The package does not open on phones An admin must enable packaged content on mobile for each platform before learners can play it in the Workday app. ## Workday Learning interactive video FAQ ### Can I add an interactive video to Workday Learning? Yes. Upload a Mindstamp SCORM package as packaged content in a Media lesson. Workday records completion and the score, and the lesson can provide the primary score and grade for the course. ### Can an External Content lesson track a Mindstamp video? No. Workday tracks an External Content lesson only from statements sent to its Lesson Trackings REST API, and Mindstamp does not send them. Your team can build that link with Mindstamp webhooks, but Mindstamp does not provide it. Use the SCORM package for tracked completion. ### Which SCORM version should I use for Workday? Any Mindstamp version fits, because Workday lists SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 2nd to 4th editions. Workday shows interaction details for SCORM 2004 4th edition and none for SCORM 1.2, but the Mindstamp package sends completion and a score, so that report has no question detail either way. Workday Media Cloud adds multiple-choice, checkbox, open-response, and text-note interactions to video hosted in Workday, and scores the multiple-choice and checkbox answers. Mindstamp adds both, works with video hosted outside Workday, and sends the score to Workday through SCORM. ### Can I embed the player in a Workday lesson? No. Workday lessons have no block for embed code.
