Facts checked October 5, 2026. Mindstamp plays the Wistia stream in its own player when you paste a media page address or share link, with no API token. It reads the title and length from the public data that Wistia keeps for each video. If playback fails, the player tries a second Wistia address for the same video. 1. In Wistia, open the video and copy the address of its media page. A share link also works. 2. In Mindstamp, select **New video**, then **Wistia** under **Platforms**. 3. Paste the link and wait for **Link works**. 4. Select **Create Video**, then enter a title for the video. 5. Play a few seconds in the editor to check the picture and sound. Add a question where the viewer should choose, and a button where they should act. 2. On the **Lead Capture** tab, ask for name and email. 3. Publish the video from its **Share** page and copy the embed code. 4. On your web page, replace the Wistia embed with the Mindstamp code. 5. For a course, select **Download SCORM package** on the **Share** page. Paste a link from wistia.com, a wistia.com subdomain, or fast.wistia.net. ### Private media can fail If the media details in Wistia are not public, Mindstamp likely gets no title or length, and playback can fail. Make the media public in Wistia, or upload the file. ### No transcript from Wistia Mindstamp plays Wistia video as HLS, which gets no transcript or Download source. Upload the original file when you need them. ## Wistia interactive video FAQ ### How do I make Wistia videos interactive? Copy the media page address or share link of the video in Wistia, select **Wistia** on the Mindstamp **New video** page, and paste it. When Mindstamp shows **Link works**, create the video and place questions and branching on the timeline. Mindstamp streams the Wistia video in its own player and keeps each viewer’s answers in its reports. ### Which Wistia links does Mindstamp accept? Links on wistia.com, a wistia.com subdomain, or fast.wistia.net that point to one media: a /medias/ page, a /s/ share link, or an /embed/ address. A wi.st short link, a custom video domain, or HTML embed code is likely refused. ### Which Wistia and Mindstamp plans work? Mindstamp has no plan gate on Wistia links and asks for no Wistia API token. On Basic, a video can run up to 30 minutes, and Mindstamp checks the length of a Wistia video when you create it. SCORM export needs Core or higher. Each Mindstamp view still uses Wistia bandwidth, and the Wistia pricing page lists 200 GB on Free and 1 TB on Business. ### Does Wistia still record the plays? No. Mindstamp does not load the Wistia player, and Wistia says requests that do not come through its player produce no plays or viewer data. They still count toward your account bandwidth.
