Facts checked October 5, 2026. On a Vimeo plan with third-party player support, copy the direct file link of a video and paste it into Mindstamp. In Vimeo, open your **Library** and select the video. 2. Open the three-dot menu at the top right and select **Video file links**. 3. Under **Play the video**, copy the HLS link or the 1080p MP4 link. 4. In Mindstamp, select **New video**, then **Vimeo** under **Platforms**. 5. Paste the link. Zapier starts on Core. ## Check these before you publish ### Not a video file You pasted the Vimeo page address. Copy the link from Video file links instead. Its path ends in .m3u8 or .mp4, before any ? in the address. ### Links stop after a downgrade Vimeo says direct links stop working if the account moves to Free, Starter, Basic, or Plus. They work again after an upgrade. ### Vimeo privacy does not apply Vimeo privacy and embed settings do not cover file links. On Core and higher, Allowed embed domains limits where the Mindstamp player loads. The Vimeo file link itself stays public. ### No transcript from an HLS link Mindstamp makes transcripts and Download source only for MP4 links and uploads. Copy the video’s direct file link from **Video file links** in Vimeo, and paste it into the Vimeo source on the Mindstamp **New video** page. Then add questions and branching in the editor. Mindstamp plays the file in its own player, so viewers answer inside the video and you see each answer in Mindstamp reports. ### Which Vimeo plan do I need? You need a Vimeo plan that includes video file links, which Vimeo calls third-party player support. Vimeo’s help lists Standard, Advanced, Pro, Business, Premium, and Enterprise, and the newer Professional plan lists third-party player support. Vimeo is moving to new plan names, so check your own plan page. Mindstamp has no plan gate for Vimeo links. Its Basic plan limits each video to 30 minutes, and SCORM export starts on Core. ### Why does Mindstamp say “Not a video file”? Mindstamp needs the video file, not the vimeo.com page.
