Documents checked September 30, 2026. Embed the Mindstamp player in a Skilljar Files or Web Content lesson with the Embed Link tab, and Mindstamp records every answer. Skilljar marks an embedded lesson complete as soon as it loads, so upload a SCORM package when completion and a score must come from the video itself. ## Choose by what Skilljar must record | Method | Where in Skilljar | What Skilljar records | What Mindstamp records | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Embed address or code | A Files or Web Content lesson, Embed Link tab. In Mindstamp, publish the video from its **Share** page. 2. Under **Embed**, choose **Basic iframe** and select **Copy embed code**. Keep only the address inside src. It starts with https. 3. In the course, add a **Files or Web Content** lesson and open **Content**. 4. Select the **Embed Link** tab. In **Type**, choose the last option, **Any website that allows itself to be embedded as an iframe**. 5. Paste the address, save the lesson, and preview it as a learner. The Skilljar Starter package does not include it. 1. On the Mindstamp **Share** page, under **Export**, select **Download SCORM package**. This needs a Core plan or higher. 2. In **SCORM Version**, choose any of the three versions. Skilljar lists all of them. 3. In **Completion Checkpoint**, choose 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 or 100 percent. The 80 and 85 percent options do not record completion. 4. In the course, add a **SCORM / Web Package** lesson and upload the ZIP file. 5. Take the lesson as a test learner, then check the score in **SCORM Analytics**. ## Skilljar video lessons can block fast-forward but ask no questions ### Skilljar video lessons - Uploaded video files, such as MP4, in Skilljar’s video player. - A setting that marks the lesson complete when the video ends, and one that turns off fast-forward. - Quiz lessons that sit between video lessons in a Skilljar course path. ### What Mindstamp adds - Questions and hotspots inside a product walkthrough video. - Buttons that open the matching help article or app screen at the right moment. - Branching by role or plan, so each customer sees only the steps that apply. - Skilljar completion that follows the video checkpoint, through SCORM. ## Check these before you publish ### Lesson completes on load Skilljar marks an embedded lesson complete on its first page load. That completion does not mean the learner watched. Use a SCORM lesson when completion must reflect the video. ### No SCORM lesson type The Skilljar Starter package does not include SCORM lessons. Use the embed and read the results in Mindstamp. ### The player does not load Skilljar’s troubleshooting names browser extensions and cross-domain (CORS) errors. Try a browser window with no extensions. If the console shows a CORS error, check that the code uses the embed.mindstamp.com address or your custom domain. ### If fullscreen does not work in a Text lesson When you paste the iframe in Source Code, keep allow="autoplay; fullscreen" and allowfullscreen in the tag. ## Skilljar interactive video FAQ ### Can I embed an interactive video in Skilljar? Yes, two ways. In a Files or Web Content lesson, use the **Embed Link** tab and paste the Mindstamp address. In a Text lesson, open **Source Code** and paste the Basic iframe code, which lets you add text above or below the video. Skilljar documents both on the Starter package too. ### Why does Skilljar mark the lesson complete before the video ends? Skilljar completes embedded lessons on first page load. You can turn on **Disable Automatic Completion** for one lesson, but Skilljar then needs another way to mark it complete, such as its API. If completion must follow the video, use a SCORM / Web Package lesson. The Mindstamp package reports completion at the checkpoint you choose. ### Which SCORM version should I use for Skilljar? Any Mindstamp SCORM version works in Skilljar. Skilljar lists SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 3rd and 4th editions, and completes the lesson when the package reports complete, passed, or failed. SCORM lessons are not on Skilljar Starter. See [SCORM export](https://mindstamp.com/help/scorm-export). ### Can Mindstamp send xAPI, cmi5, or LTI to Skilljar? No. Skilljar accepts cmi5 packages and LTI 1.1 and 1.3 tools, but Mindstamp sends neither, and Skilljar does not take plain xAPI packages. Use SCORM for completion and a score. The package passes the learner name and ID from Skilljar to Mindstamp. The embed does not receive the Skilljar account, so add lead capture to the video to collect a name and email. Skilljar documents video lessons that can block fast-forward and complete when the video ends. Quizzes are separate lessons.
