Add the Mindstamp embed address to a Schoology course as a Link material, which shows it in an iframe inside the course, or paste the Basic iframe code into a Page. Up to 10 GB. | A grade in one column with SCORM grading, or one column per SCO with SCO grading. | Each view, with the student name and ID from Schoology. | ## Add the video to a Schoology course ### Add the embed address as a Link For a Page instead, switch the Page editor from Visual to **HTML** and paste the whole Basic iframe code. 1. In Mindstamp, publish the video from its **Share** page. 2. Under **Embed**, choose **Basic iframe** and select **Copy embed code**. For a Link, keep only the address inside src. It starts with https. 3. In the course, select **Add Materials**, then **Add File/Link/External Tool**, then **Link**. 4. Paste the address, name the link, and leave **Display in new window** off. 5. Open the material with a test student account and play the video. It does not list the 3rd edition, so skip that option in Mindstamp. 1. On the Mindstamp **Share** page, under **Export**, select **Download SCORM package**. This needs a Core plan or higher. 2. In **SCORM Version**, choose **SCORM 1.2** or **SCORM 2004 (4th edition)**. 3. In **Completion Checkpoint**, choose 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 or 100 percent. The 80 and 85 percent options do not record completion. 4. In the course, select **Add Materials**, then **Add Package**, then **SCORM**. 5. Turn on grading and choose **SCORM grading** for one gradebook column, then upload the ZIP file. 6. Open the package as a test student and check the gradebook. ## Schoology Media Albums hold video with comments only ### Video in Schoology - Media Albums store photos, video, and audio, and students can comment on them. - Assessments have no question type that plays a video and asks inside it. - Districts add interactive video through LTI apps, such as ClickView and PlayPosit. ### What Mindstamp adds - Questions and buttons placed at set times in the video. - Branching that sends a student to a review scene after a wrong answer. - A SCORM grade column in Schoology, with each answer kept in Mindstamp reports. - No app to install. A teacher adds the video as course material. ## Check these before you publish ### Refused to connect Schoology frames Link materials, and some pages refuse to be framed. Use the address from the Mindstamp embed code. If it still fails, turn on Display in new window. ### Script embed codes are not supported PowerSchool says Schoology does not run script embed codes, so the Responsive and Popout codes fail. Use Basic iframe. ### SCORM 2004 3rd edition is not listed Schoology lists only the 4th edition of SCORM 2004. Export SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 4th edition. ### No gradebook column Grading is set when you upload the package, and the score reaches the gradebook only with grading on. Upload the package again with grading turned on. ## Schoology interactive video FAQ ### Can I add an interactive video to Schoology? Yes. Add the Mindstamp embed address as a Link material, or paste the Basic iframe code into a Page in HTML view. Both show the player inside the course. For a grade, upload a SCORM package. ### Should I use a Link or a Page? A Link takes only the address, so you need no HTML. A Page lets you put directions or a reading next to the player, and more than one video on the same page. Neither one sends anything to the gradebook, so use SCORM when the video must count toward a grade. ### How does Schoology grade a Mindstamp package? With **SCORM grading**, the package fills one gradebook column. **SCO grading** gives one column per SCO instead. Schoology then shows the percent of questions answered correctly; only the first answer to each question counts. Completion arrives at the checkpoint you choose. ### Which SCORM version should I pick for Schoology? For Schoology, pick SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 4th edition. PowerSchool lists SCORM 1.1, 1.2, and 2004 version 4, and does not list the 3rd edition that Mindstamp also exports. A Mindstamp package holds no video, so it stays small, but students need internet access to play it. PowerSchool documents no domain allow list for Link or Page materials, so a teacher can add the video alone. If your Mindstamp account limits embed domains, add your Schoology domain to Allowed embed domains. Media Albums hold video with comments, and assessments do not ask questions inside a video. Districts add that through LTI apps.
