# Interactive video in LearnUpon

LMS guide · Updated: 2026-10-05 · As documented by LearnUpon. Documents checked September 30, 2026.

Paste the Mindstamp Basic iframe code into a LearnUpon Text & Image module, or upload a SCORM package so LearnUpon records completion and a score. LearnUpon drops script embeds, so use the iframe code and wrap it in LearnUpon’s video-responsive class.

## Choose by what LearnUpon must record

| Method | Where in LearnUpon | What LearnUpon records | What Mindstamp records |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Embed code | A Text & Image module, in the rich text editor. Iframe code only. | The module completes as a text module. No video data. | Each view, answer, click, and branch. Add lead capture to see names. |
| Share link | A link in a Text & Image module. The video opens in a new tab. | Nothing about the video. | The same data as the embed. |
| SCORM package | Add SCORM or Tin Can, then Upload. Single SCO only. | Completion, score, and attempts. | Each view, with the learner name and ID from LearnUpon. |

## Add the video to a course

### Paste the code in a Text & Image module

1. In Mindstamp, publish the video from its **Share** page.
2. Under **Embed**, choose **Basic iframe** and select **Copy embed code**. LearnUpon does not run script embeds.
3. In the course, add a **Text & Image** module and open the editor.
4. Paste the code. To keep it responsive, wrap it in a div with the class video-responsive, as LearnUpon’s guide shows.
5. Preview the module as a learner on a computer and on a phone.

### Upload a SCORM package

1. On the Mindstamp **Share** page, under **Export**, select **Download SCORM package**. This needs a Core plan or higher.
2. In **SCORM Version**, choose any version. LearnUpon lists SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 3rd and 4th editions.
3. In **Completion Checkpoint**, choose 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 or 100 percent. The 80 and 85 percent options do not record completion.
4. In the course, select **Add SCORM or Tin Can**, then **Upload**, and choose the ZIP file.
5. Run the module as a test learner and check the completion and the score.

## LearnUpon tracks the watched percentage

### Video segments

- Video tracking that requires a watched percentage.
- Playback speed limits, captions, and picture-in-picture.
- No questions inside the video.

### Interaction inside the video

- Questions with feedback, placed where each topic ends.
- A branching practice scene for customer or partner training.
- Hotspots and buttons that open files, links, or other scenes.
- Every answer, click, and path by learner in Mindstamp reports.

## Check these before you publish

### The player does not show

LearnUpon drops script embeds. Use the Basic iframe code, not the Responsive or Popout code.

### Fixed-size player

LearnUpon keeps an embed at a fixed size unless you wrap it in the video-responsive class.

### Mobile app not documented

LearnUpon does not document iframe embeds in its mobile app. Check the course there before launch.

### SCORM in a new window

LearnUpon can open SCORM in a new window. If you turn that on, allow pop-ups for your LearnUpon portal.

## LearnUpon interactive video FAQ

### Can I add an interactive video to LearnUpon?

Yes. Paste the Mindstamp Basic iframe code into a Text & Image module, or upload a SCORM package.

### Which SCORM version should I use for LearnUpon?

Any of them. LearnUpon lists SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 3rd and 4th editions, with a single SCO. See [SCORM export](https://mindstamp.com/help/scorm-export).

### Why does my embed code not work in LearnUpon?

LearnUpon accepts iframe code only. Script embeds, such as the Mindstamp Responsive and Popout codes, do not work. Copy the Basic iframe code.

### Does LearnUpon support LTI?

No. LearnUpon says it supports SCORM and xAPI only. Mindstamp does not need LTI here: use the embed or a SCORM package.

### Does LearnUpon have interactive video?

LearnUpon video segments track a watched percentage and can limit playback speed. LearnUpon does not document questions inside a video.
