# Interactive video in iSpring Suite

Authoring tool guide · Updated: 2026-10-05 · As documented by iSpring Suite. Documents checked October 5, 2026.

In iSpring Suite, a Web Object puts the Mindstamp player on a PowerPoint slide from embed code or a web address, and Mindstamp records every answer. iSpring Learn gets the video score only from the Mindstamp SCORM package, uploaded as its own course, since the published Suite course receives nothing from the player.

## Choose by what iSpring Learn must record

| Method | Where in iSpring Suite | What iSpring Suite records | What Mindstamp records |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Web Object | iSpring Suite toolbar in PowerPoint, then Web Object, with embed code or a web address. Shown in the slide. | Nothing from the video. | Each answer, click, and branch, by learner once lead capture is on. |
| Share link | A Web Object with the share link, set to display in a new browser window. An icon on the slide opens it. | Nothing about the video. | The same data as the embed. |
| Mindstamp SCORM package | Outside the Suite course. iSpring Learn, Learning Content, then Upload, as its own course. | iSpring Learn records completion and the score as a separate course. The Suite course has no link to it. | Each view, with the learner name and ID from iSpring Learn. |

## Add the video to a Suite slide

### Insert the player on the slide

1. In Mindstamp, publish the video from its **Share** page.
2. Under **Embed**, choose **Basic iframe** and copy the code.
3. Save the course in PowerPoint. iSpring asks for this before you add a web object.
4. On the **iSpring Suite** toolbar, select **Web Object**.
5. Choose **Embed code** and paste the code. To use the address instead, choose **Web address** and paste only the address inside src.
6. Choose **Display in slide**.
7. Move and resize the rectangle on the slide.
8. Play the slide in the published course, in a browser.

### Upload the package as its own course

The Mindstamp package does not go inside the Suite course. iSpring Learn takes SCORM 1.2 and 2004 packages of up to 3 GB per course.

1. On the Mindstamp **Share** page, under **Export**, select **Download SCORM package**. This needs a Core plan or higher.
2. In **SCORM Version**, choose **SCORM 1.2**. The iSpring Learn upload page lists SCORM 2004 with no edition, so test one 2004 package before you rely on it.
3. In **Completion Checkpoint**, choose 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 or 100 percent. The 80 and 85 percent options do not record completion.
4. In iSpring Learn, open **Learning Content** and a project, then select **Upload**, or drag the ZIP file in.
5. In another LMS, upload the ZIP file as its own course.
6. Assign the package and the Suite course to a test learner.
7. Check completion and the score in iSpring Learn.

## iSpring help, read October 5, 2026, shows no questions on a video timeline

### iSpring Suite video and quizzes

- Video narration synced to slides, and a Video Lecture player.
- iSpring Cam Pro to record and edit screen video.
- Quizzes, 14 interaction templates, and role-plays.
- The iSpring help pages read on October 5, 2026 show no questions or hotspots on a video timeline.

### Questions on the video itself

- Questions and hotspots at set moments in the video.
- Branching that sends each learner to the scene that fits the answer.
- The same video on a Suite slide and on an iSpring Learn page.
- One SCORM upload that gives iSpring Learn completion and a score. Each answer stays in Mindstamp reports.

## Check these before you publish

### Save before you insert

iSpring asks you to save the course before you add a web object. Save the presentation first.

### Check https and framing yourself

The iSpring pages read on October 5, 2026 do not cover https or framing. Use the https address from the Mindstamp code, and test the published course.

### No score in the Suite course

The embedded player reports nothing to the Suite course. Upload the SCORM package to iSpring Learn when the score counts.

### Video not available: Code 617

Your iSpring Learn domain is not in Allowed embed domains, a Mindstamp account setting. Add it, and any other LMS domain where the course runs.

## iSpring Suite interactive video FAQ

### How do I add an interactive video to iSpring Suite?

Use the **Web Object** button on the iSpring Suite toolbar in PowerPoint. It takes embed code or a web address. Paste the Mindstamp **Basic iframe** code, or the address inside it, and show it in the slide or in a new browser window. A **Show after** delay can hold the player back for a set number of seconds.

### Does iSpring Suite have interactive video?

Not on the video timeline, going by the iSpring help pages read on October 5, 2026. Those pages describe no questions or hotspots on a video.iSpring Suite syncs video narration to slides and records screen video with iSpring Cam Pro. It also has quizzes and 14 interaction templates. Mindstamp adds questions inside the video, with branching between scenes.

### Can I embed the video on an iSpring Learn page?

Yes. iSpring Learn Pages have an **Embed** element under **Media** on the toolbar. Paste the Mindstamp Basic iframe code or the player address and press Enter. Like a Suite web object, the page gets nothing back from the video, so answers and scores stay in Mindstamp reports.

### Which SCORM version should I upload to iSpring Learn?

Start with SCORM 1.2. The iSpring Learn upload page lists SCORM 1.2 and 2004 packages of up to 3 GB, with no 2004 edition named, so test one 2004 package before you use it. The Suite course has its own LMS output, with cmi5 among the options, but the Mindstamp score does not reach it. See [SCORM export](https://mindstamp.com/help/scorm-export).

### Does the Mindstamp package know who the learner is?

It should. The package reads the learner name and ID from the LMS, so iSpring Learn should pass them to Mindstamp. Test with one learner first. A Web Object in the Suite course passes no name, so add lead capture to the video to see names there. See [viewer identity](https://mindstamp.com/help/viewer-identity-and-anonymous-viewers).
