Documents checked September 30, 2026. Paste the Mindstamp iframe code into any Brightspace editor with Insert Stuff, then Enter Embed Code. An admin can add the Mindstamp address to Trusted Sites so students see no prompt. The new SCORM tool needs Content Service. | Completion and a score, with an optional grade item in the grade book. | Each view, with the student name and ID from Brightspace. | ## Add the video to a Brightspace course ### Trusted Sites A Brightspace admin opens **Admin Tools**, then **Trusted Sites**, and adds https://embed.mindstamp.com/* to the list. D2L says the /* ending allows all content from that site. Until the entry exists, each student sees a prompt that the media is from another website and has been blocked. ### Use Insert Stuff 1. In Mindstamp, publish the video from its **Share** page. 2. Under **Embed**, choose **Basic iframe** and select **Copy embed code**. 3. In the course, open **Content**, select **Create New**, then **Page**. Any other Brightspace editor works too. 4. In the editor, select **Insert Stuff**, then **Enter Embed Code**. 5. Paste the code, select **Next**, then **Insert**. 6. Save, then open the page as a test student. If a blocked media prompt shows, the Trusted Sites entry is missing. Without it, Brightspace uses legacy SCORM. 1. On the Mindstamp **Share** page, under **Export**, select **Download SCORM package**. This needs a Core plan or higher. 2. In **SCORM Version**, choose **SCORM 1.2** or a SCORM 2004 edition. D2L says Brightspace is SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 compliant and does not name an edition. 3. In **Completion Checkpoint**, choose 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 or 100 percent. The 80 and 85 percent options do not record completion. 4. In **Content**, select **New SCORM/xAPI Object** and upload the ZIP file. 5. Connect the object to a grade item, so the score goes to the grade book. Run it as a test student. ## Brightspace interactive content sits in the paid Creator+ add-on ### Brightspace and Creator+ - No in-video quiz built by D2L. - Creator+, a paid add-on, adds graded H5P interactive content. - Partner tools, such as FeedbackFruits Interactive Video and WeVideo, add questions to video. ### What Mindstamp adds - Questions and branching placed on the video timeline. - Hotspots that open a reading or a lab page at the right moment. - A score in the Brightspace grade book through a SCORM grade item. - Per-student answers in Mindstamp reports, beyond the single score Brightspace stores. ## Check these before you publish ### Media has been blocked The Mindstamp address is not in Trusted Sites, so each student must allow it, and D2L’s community notes that the prompt can be cut off in a small window. Ask an admin to add https://embed.mindstamp.com/* to Trusted Sites, plus your custom video domain if you use one. ### Legacy SCORM instead of the new tool The new SCORM tool needs Content Service. Ask an admin whether your organization has it turned on. ### No grade in the grade book Brightspace shows a SCORM score only through a grade item. Let the new SCORM tool create the grade item when you upload the package. ## D2L Brightspace interactive video FAQ ### Can I embed an interactive video in Brightspace? Yes. In any Brightspace editor, select **Insert Stuff**, then **Enter Embed Code**, and paste the Mindstamp Basic iframe code. Ask an admin to add the Mindstamp address to Trusted Sites first. ### What exactly goes in Trusted Sites? Add https://embed.mindstamp.com/* as one entry. The forward slash and asterisk tell Brightspace to trust all content from that site, so students are not asked again. Trusted Sites is under Admin Tools, so an instructor needs an admin for this step. ### Do I need Content Service for SCORM? Brightspace needs Content Service for its new SCORM tool. D2L says the new solution needs Content Service, and Brightspace falls back to legacy SCORM without it. The new tool takes up to 50 objects in one upload and can create grade items for you. D2L says SCORM works on mobile devices when the object is built for them, and suggests the non-mobile version of the site for the best result. The Mindstamp package holds no video and loads the hosted player, so students need internet access. Open the object on a phone before launch. ### Does Brightspace have interactive video? D2L does not document an in-video quiz in Brightspace. The paid Creator+ add-on brings H5P interactive content, and D2L’s Creator+ article does not name H5P Interactive Video. Mindstamp works without Creator+ and adds questions and branching inside the video. No. Brightspace supports LTI 1.1 and LTI 1.3, but Mindstamp has no LTI tool. Use the embed for display and a SCORM object for a grade.
