# How do I add a Mindstamp video to Trainual?

Topic: [Training, LMS and certificates](https://mindstamp.com/help/training) · Updated: 2026-10-05

## Short answer

Publish the Mindstamp video and copy its **Basic iframe** code. In a Trainual step, select **Insert** in the Content editor, then **Iframe**, paste the code, and select **Add iframe**. Trainual does not save code with a script tag, so the Responsive and Popout codes fail.

## Steps

1. In Mindstamp, publish the video from its **Share** page if it is not published yet.
2. Under **Embed**, choose **Basic iframe** and select **Copy embed code**.
3. In Trainual, open the subject and the step you want to edit.
4. In the Content editor, select **Insert**, then **Iframe**.
5. Paste the code. If a div wraps the iframe, delete the div and keep the iframe tag.
6. Select **Add iframe**, then view the step from a test account and play the video.

## If Trainual says saving failed

Trainual rejects any code with a script tag and shows a saving failed error. Check that the code starts with an iframe tag and has no script tag in it. Copy the **Basic iframe** code again from the Mindstamp **Share** page if you are not sure.

## Upload a SCORM package

- Trainual says the SCORM upload feature depends on your plan.
- On the Mindstamp **Share** page, under **Export**, select **Download SCORM package**. This needs a Core plan or higher. Choose **SCORM 1.2** or a SCORM 2004 edition and a **Completion Checkpoint** of 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 or 100 percent.
- Trainual accepts SCORM 1.2 or 2004 ZIP files up to 2 GB. It does not name a 2004 edition, so upload one package first.
- Upload the ZIP file, assign it, and track completions in Trainual. Learners see a **Back to Home** button after they complete it.
- You cannot edit SCORM content in Trainual. Change the video in Mindstamp instead, and the package shows the change without a new upload.

## Read answers and scores in Mindstamp

Trainual documents completion tracking for SCORM, not a score. Read each learner’s answers and score in Mindstamp reports, and [export them](https://mindstamp.com/help/export-training-records) when you need a record.

## If your account restricts embed domains

If you set **Allowed embed domains** in Mindstamp, add your Trainual domain to the list. Otherwise learners see “Video not available: Code 617”. See [restrict embed domains](https://mindstamp.com/help/restrict-embed-domains).

## Know which learner watched

The embed does not receive the learner’s Trainual account. To see names in Mindstamp reports, add lead capture to the video so learners enter their name and email. A SCORM package passes the name and ID from the LMS instead. See [viewer identity and anonymous viewers](https://mindstamp.com/help/viewer-identity-and-anonymous-viewers).
