# How do I add a Mindstamp video to SAP SuccessFactors Learning?

Topic: [Training, LMS and certificates](https://mindstamp.com/help/training) · Updated: 2026-10-05

## Short answer

Download a Mindstamp **SCORM 2004 (4th edition)** package and add it to the item as a content object with the **SCORM** launch method. The Content Player records completion and the score. To show the video without a score, use the **Browser** launch method with the player address.

## Steps

1. In Mindstamp, publish the video from its **Share** page if it is not published yet.
2. Under **Export**, select **Download SCORM package**. This needs a Core plan or higher.
3. Choose **SCORM 2004 (4th edition)** or **SCORM 1.2** and a **Completion Checkpoint** of 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 or 100 percent, then download the ZIP file.
4. Add the ZIP file to the item as a content object with the **SCORM** launch method. SAP says content packages are essential for SCORM 2004, so ask your admin how your system imports them.
5. Add it to the item as a content object with the **SCORM** launch method.
6. Assign the item to a test learner and play past the checkpoint. Check the completion and the score.

## Show the player with the Browser launch method

- In Mindstamp, copy the **Basic iframe** code and keep only the address inside src. SuccessFactors takes a content URL, not embed code.
- Add a content object with the **Browser** launch method and paste the address as the content URL.
- Keep it in a frame inside the LMS, or tick **Launch in a New Browser Window**. A search summary of SAP’s course names a frame size of 20 to 100 percent of the window; check the field in your system.
- The video sends no completion or score to SuccessFactors.

## If the new window does not open

With **Launch in a New Browser Window** ticked, a pop-up blocker can stop the video. Ask learners to allow pop-ups for your SuccessFactors site, or switch the content object back to the LMS frame.

## Add the content server domain

SuccessFactors often serves SCORM packages from a content server on a different domain from the LMS. If you set **Allowed embed domains** in Mindstamp and a package shows “Video not available: Code 617”, add the content server domain to the list. See [restrict embed domains](https://mindstamp.com/help/restrict-embed-domains).

## Know which learner watched in the frame

In the LMS frame, the player runs as third-party content, and Safari and Chrome partition its storage. The player cannot rely on cookies to know a returning learner there.

## Know which learner watched

The embed does not receive the learner’s SuccessFactors account. To see names in Mindstamp reports, add lead capture to the video so learners enter their name and email. A SCORM package passes the name and ID from the LMS instead. See [viewer identity and anonymous viewers](https://mindstamp.com/help/viewer-identity-and-anonymous-viewers).
