# How do I add a Mindstamp video to Cornerstone OnDemand?

Topic: [Training, LMS and certificates](https://mindstamp.com/help/training) · Updated: 2026-10-05

## Short answer

Download a Mindstamp **SCORM 1.2** package and upload it as an online course with the Cornerstone **Content Uploader**. Cornerstone records completion and the score on the learner transcript. Cornerstone has no block for embed code.

## Steps

1. In Mindstamp, publish the video from its **Share** page if it is not published yet.
2. Under **Export**, select **Download SCORM package**. This needs a Core plan or higher.
3. Choose **SCORM 1.2** and a **Completion Checkpoint** of 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 or 100 percent, then download the ZIP file.
4. In Cornerstone, open the **Content Uploader** and create an online course.
5. Upload the ZIP file as it is. Do not unzip it or add other files.
6. Assign the course to a test learner, launch it, and check the transcript after the checkpoint.

## One standard in each ZIP file

The Content Uploader needs a single ZIP file that holds one standard only, up to 2 GB. Upload the Mindstamp ZIP on its own. It holds no video, so it stays small, but learners need internet access to play it.

## If the course window does not open

Cornerstone adds training to the transcript and tries to open it in a new window. A pop-up blocker can stop that window. Ask learners to allow pop-ups for your Cornerstone portal, then launch the course again from the transcript.

## Test SCORM 2004 before you use it

Cornerstone lists SCORM 2004 but does not name the edition. Mindstamp exports SCORM 2004 3rd and 4th editions. If you need SCORM 2004, upload one package and run it as a test learner before you use it in live courses.

## Link to the video as a Material

For optional viewing, select **Copy link** on the Mindstamp **Share** page and add the link to Cornerstone as a URL **Material**. Cornerstone’s Materials help page did not load during research, so the labels can differ. Cornerstone opens it in a new window, and the video sends nothing to the transcript. Add lead capture to the video to see names in Mindstamp reports, and [export them](https://mindstamp.com/help/export-training-records) when you need a record.

## If your account restricts embed domains

If you set **Allowed embed domains** in Mindstamp, add your Cornerstone domain to the list. Otherwise learners see “Video not available: Code 617”. See [restrict embed domains](https://mindstamp.com/help/restrict-embed-domains).
